With Prime Source’s latest release of Sublime Herbicide, we are excited for the first affordable control of poa annua in cool-season grass. We have seen good results on one application of Sublime, but a second application might be needed for best control.
Within two weeks you can see visible results as the product starts to yellow out the poa. Due to the growing height of poa, it does not get knockdown when mowing, meaning the seed heads will still be there after a few weeks. But the plant is dying.

The plants are dying as you can see in the picture and slowly losing form and structure.
Timing is essential for best control. If you are able to apply before seedheads form, you will stand a better chance of reducing the amount next year.

Safe to apply to Kentucky Bluegrass, Tall Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, Fine Fescue, St. Augustinegrass, Zoysia, Centipedegrass, Bahiagrass, and Paspalum.
Can be safely applied to Dormant Bermudagrass
Requires a Non-ionic surfactant for best results
Apply at 50° to 90° Degrees Fahrenheit
Reseed before or at the time of seeding on Ky Bluegrass, Tall Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, Zoysia, and Bahiagrass
